MOSCOW, April 9. /TASS/. The Hungarian Prime Minister and President of the Fidesz - Hungarian Civic Union political party Viktor Orban has announced the ruling coalition’s victory at the parliamentary elections.

"We have won, Hungary has won a great victory," he told a crowd of his supporters on Sunday. "There is a big battle behind us, we have won a crucial victory, giving ourselves a chance to defend Hungary."

Hungary’s National Election Committee reported after counting 80.76% of the votes that the ruling coalition that includes the Fidesz - Hungarian Civic Union party led by Orban and the Christian Democratic People’s Party is heading for a victory at the elections to the National Assembly (parliament) and receives a constitutional two-thirds majority in the parliament.
