More than 1,100 militants leave Syria’s Douma in one day

Throughout the entire route the militants were guarded by Syrian police officers

MOSCOW, April 3. /TASS/. More than 1,100 militants and members of their families have left the community of Douma in Eastern Ghouta through a humanitarian corridor in the community of al-Wafideen, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

"A total of 1,123 militants and members of their families have exited through the humanitarian corridor over the past day. They were taken to the north of the Aleppo province by 24 buses," the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

The militants and their families’ withdrawal from the community of Douma in Eastern Ghouta has been carried out for two days. As many as 2,269 militants and their family members have exited the city of Douma since the launch of the humanitarian pauses.

Throughout the entire route the militants were guarded by Syrian police officers under control of officers from the Russian Reconciliation Center for the Conflicting Sides and representatives from the Syrian Arab Red Crescent.
