Erdogan says plans to discuss Syrian settlement with Putin in Sochi

Turkish President noted that Mascow and Ankara will make a serious contribution to the Geneva process

ANKARA, December 12. /TASS/. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Monday he plans to meet with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, again in Russia’s Sochi to discuss Syrian settlement.

"Today, we discussed the situation in Syria. Special attention was focused on the decisions taken at a meeting in Sochi. We discussed what can be done after that. We will have another meeting in Sochi to discuss this matter," Erdogan said after talks with Putin in Ankara.

Turkey and Russia, "as the Astana process guarantor nations, will make a serious contribution to the Geneva process," he stressed. "I think that out close contacts will be beneficial not only for our bilateral relations but for stability in the entire region.".
