At least 50 people have been killed after militants attacked a mosque near the city of Arish, the capital of North Sinai Governorate

CAIRO, November 24. /TASS/. At least 50 people have been killed after militants attacked a mosque in the north of Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, the Sky News Arabia TV channel reported on Friday.

According to the TV network, the mosque was attacked during the Friday prayer in the Al Rawdah inhabited community near the city of Arish, the capital of North Sinai Governorate. The majority of those killed in the attack are civilians. There are also some Egyptian soldiers among those killed.

According to incoming reports, the terrorists first set off an explosive device among the worshippers and then opened fire on them.
