MOSCOW, April 7. /TASS/. The cause of blast near a school in Russia’s southern city of Rostov-on-Don that wounded a man is a domestic conflict, not terrorism, the information center of Russia’s National Anti-Terrorism Committee said.
A homeless man found a package early on Thursday and decided to check its contents, including the flashlight that was there. The explosive device went off when he tried to turn on the flashlight. The explosion blew his hand off.
The investigators found out that the explosive device had been made and placed by a citizen of Rostov-on-Don, who was his acquaintance. "Some time ago they had a domestic conflict due to personal enmity and this was the cause of the crime," the NAC said, adding that this has no relation to terrorism.
The suspected perpetrator has been detained.
