BEIJING, April 6. /TASS/. Chinese authorities expect the State Council’s Vice-Premier Zhang Gaoli to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin as part of his visit to Russia, Chinese Foreign Ministry’s spokeswoman Hua Chunying said Thursday.

"We’ll be happy to see (Zhang Gaoli - TASS) meeting with Vladimir Putin as part of this tour since China and Russia are partners," she said, adding that investments and energy are "the key areas of cooperation between the two countries."

According to the spokeswoman, Zhang Gaoli will visit Russia on April 11-13.

China’s Foreign Ministry said earlier that Vice-Premier would visit Russia as part of a tour across European and Central Asian countries between April 11 and 19, to participate in the meeting of the intergovernmental Russian-Chinese commission on investment cooperation and in the session of the Russian-Chinese commission on energy cooperation. He also plans to hold talks with Russia’s First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov and Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich.
