Over 4,000 Syrians receive 12 tonnes of aid from Russia in 24 hours

A total of 4,192 people have received humanitarian aid

HMEYMIM /Syria/, April 1. /TASS/. The Russian Center for the reconciliation of the warring parties in Syria has carried out four humanitarian operations in the Aleppo and Daraa provinces over the past 24 hours.

"In the inhabited locality of Membij (Aleppo province) and in the city of Aleppo, residents have received 2,00o portions of hot food, bread, water and 500 food packages. Residents of the populated locality of Qarfa (Daraa province) have been handed over 350 food packages and children’s toys," the Russian center said.

A total of 4,192 people have received humanitarian aid over the past 24 hours. The total weight of the humanitarian cargo was 12.1 tonnes.

Four humanitarian convoys carrying UN cargo have been dispatched to the populated localities of Khan al-Shih (Damascus province), Al-Rastan (Homs province), Tafas and al-Taiba (Daraa province) with the assistance of the Russian reconciliation center.

"Russian aircraft using parachute platforms have delivered 20.8 tonnes of humanitarian cargo (foodstuffs) received by the Syrian authorities from the UN to the city of Deir ez-Zor area," the center added.
