Five people die in Ukrainian military helicopter crash in Donbass

Mi-2 military helicopter crashed near Kramators in the Kiev-controlled part of the Donetsk region after hitting an electricity transmission line

KIEV, March 26. /TASS/. Five people died in a Mi-2 military helicopter crash near the city of Kramatorsk in Donbass, Ukrainian Defense Ministry Spokesman Alexander Motuzyanik said on Sunday.

"According to the latest reports, the lethal accident occurred after 15:00 local time. So far, we know about five people - three crew members and two passenger - who died in the crash," he said.

The Ukrainian defense ministry’s press service said earlier on Sunday that a Mi-2 military helicopter crashed near Kramators in the Kiev-controlled part of the Donetsk region after hitting an electricity transmission line.

Motuzyanik confirmed that crash was caused by collision with an electricity transmission line.
