MOSCOW, March 23. /TASS/. French National Front leader and presidential candidate Marine Le Pen’s March 24 visit to Moscow has been confirmed, Agence France-Presse reported on Thursday.
"I confirm that tomorrow Marine Le Pen will visit Moscow," the National Front leader’s spokesman told the French news agency.
On Thursday, Chairman of Russia’s State Duma Committee for Foreign Affairs Leonid Slutsky said that Marine Le Pen would arrive in Moscow on March 24 upon his invitation.
According to Slutsky, "the visit will take place as part of close cooperation between the State Duma members and the French political circles." Le Pen is expected to participate in a meeting of the Committee for Foreign Affairs and meet with the State Duma’s senior officials.
