CAIRO, March 13. /TASS/. Egypt has received no invitation to take part in the international meeting on Syria in Astana as an observer but is prepared to consider it, if such an invitation is received, Egyptian Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Ahmed Abu Zeid, told TASS on Monday commenting on media reports on the issue.
"I do not know where such reports come from, we have not received anything," he said. "If there is such an invitation, we will be sure to consider it."
Astana will host another international meeting on the settlement in Syria on March 14-15. Taking part in the negotiations will be delegations from Russia, Turkey and Iran.
