GENEVA, March 3. /TASS/. UN Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Syria, Staffan de Mistura, is wrapping up a series of consultations at the current round of the intra-Syrian negotiations and is expected to sum up its results within the next few hours.
Earlier in the day, the UN envoy met with the Cairo and Moscow opposition groups and the Syrian government delegation led by Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Bashar Jaafari.
De Mistura’s meeting with Jaafri lasted about two hours. The Syrian government’s chief negotiator did not make any statements for the media after it. The exact time of de Mistura’s final news conference has not been given yet.
