Civilians in Syria get humanitarian aid from Russian mission in Aleppo and Homs

MOSCOW, March 2. /TASS/. Officers of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the opposing sides have carried out six humanitarian missions in the Syrian province of Aleppo and one in the province of Homs in the past 24 hours, the Center said in an information bulletin.

"A total of 940 kilograms of bread and 3,000 hot meals were distributed among civilians in the Hananu al-Amaliyah, Qasiliyah and Sheikh Maqsood districts of the city of Aleppo, in mosques in the Makar al-Enbiyah and al-Hamdaniyah 3 areas and at a student hostel in the al-Shabha al-Qadima area. A total of 3.29 tons of food products, medicine and clothes were delivered to a hospital in the Wadi al-Dahab neighborhood in Homs," the bulletin reads.

The Center added that in the past 24 hours, as many as 4,700 civilians received humanitarian aid totaling 4.95 tons.

The Center for Reconciliation also said that Russian aircraft had delivered 20.4 tons of food products, provided to the Syrian government by the United Nations, to the Deir ez-Zor area.
