Russian Defense Ministry delivers aid to nearly 3,000 Syrians

The Russian Center for Reconciliation carried out six humanitarian missions in Syria in the past 24 hours

MOSCOW, February 21. /TASS/. Officers from the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the opposing sides carried out six humanitarian missions in Syria in the past 24 hours, delivering aid to nearly 3,000 people, the Center said in an information bulletin.

"In the past 24 hours, the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the opposing sides has carried out six humanitarian missions in the city of Aleppo, delivering a total of four tons of bread to the residents of the Hamdaniyah 3, Benezid and Sheikh Maqsood districts as well as to the schools named after Abdal Aziz Fares (al-Jazmati area), Zaki Juma (al-Suqari area) and Radyan Sweit (Central area)," the bulletin reads.

In addition, Russian aircraft delivered 20.6 tons of food, provided to the Syrian government by the United Nations, to the Deir ez-Zor city area, besieged by the Islamic State (IS, terror group outlawed in Russia) militants.

Russian military officers have delivered over 200 tons of humanitarian aid to the Syrian citizens from the beginning of the year.
