Ukrainian military 10 times violate ceasefire - Lugansk militia

Under fire were Kalinovo, Almaznoye, and Sokolniki

LUGANSK, February 19. /TASS/. The Ukrainian military over the past 24 hours ten times opened fire on the militia’s positions in the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR), the republic’s military authority said on Sunday.

"The military shelled three times Kalinovka and Logvinovo, where they used grenade launchers, 120mm mortars, IFV weapons and small arms," LuganskInformCenter quoted the authority’s representative.

Under fire were Kalinovo, Almaznoye, and Sokolniki.

The situation along the line of engagement in the Donbass region deteriorated dramatically in late January. On February 1, the Contact Group on the settlement in eastern Ukraine demanded following meeting in Minsk an end to hostilities in the Donbass region and withdrawal of all weapons and equipment along the entire engagement line to storage sites by February 5. However, the Ukrainian armed forces have failed to comply with the provisions of this statement.

On Wednesday, February 15, members of the Contact Group again agreed on withdrawing all weapons prohibited under the Minsk agreements from the line of engagement in Donbass by February 20.
