MOSCOW, February 15. /TASS/. The Chief of General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Gen Valery Gerassimov, and the Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Joseph Dunford are expected to meet in the Azerbaijani capital Baku on February 16 and to discuss the prospects for defense collaboration between the two countries and prevention of incidents arising from military operations, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"The coordinated agenda [of the talks] envisions a discussion of the current status of and prospects for Russian-US collaboration in the sphere of defense and prevention of incidents that could arise from the military activity of the two sides," the report said.
"Also, the parties to the negotiations hope to exchange opinions on the situation in the field of security in crisis-stricken regions of the world."
