Syrian meeting in Astana postponed until Thursday - Kazakh Foreign Ministry

The meeting was to begin Wednesday

ASTANA, February 15. /TASS/. The meeting on Syria in Kazakh capital Astana, due Wednesday, was postponed until Thursday, the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan said.

"The start of another high level meeting within the framework of the Astana process for reconciliation in Syria is postponed until 12:00 (local time, 9:00 Moscow time), February 16, 2017," the ministry’s press service said.

On February 6, Astana hosted the first meeting of the joint group monitoring the ceasefire in Syria that involved experts from Russia, Turkey, Iran, the UN and Jordan. The group was formed after a conference on the Syrian settlement held in Kazakhtan’s capital on January 23-24.
