TOKYO, January 12. /TASS/. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s immediate plans include a visit to Russia, Japan’s Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga said on Thursday, adding however that no concrete date has yet been appointed.
"The prime minister has said he would like to pay a visit to Russia in the immediate future," he said. "The date of such visit is now being agreed. At this point, nothing has been finally decided."
On Wednesday, Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov said at a meeting with Japan’s Economy, Trade and Industry Minister Hiroshige Seko, who is also in charge of economic relations with Russia, that Russia plans to receive Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe twice this year.
