Turkey’s top diplomat says 12,000 civilians evacuated from Aleppo

ANKARA, December 19. /TASS/. A total of 12,000 civilians have been brought out of Aleppo since the beginning of the evacuation, Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu, wrote on his Twitter account on Monday.

"Including 4,500 people in East Aleppo since midnight, 12,000 civilians in total have been evacuated so far from the area under control of opposition," the minister tweeted.

Under the previous agreements, the remaining armed groups members, civilians and wounded militia fighters are being evacuated from Aleppo simultaneously. The Syrian authorities have guaranteed safety to all members of armed groups leaving the city.
