MOSCOW, December 19. /TASS/. The situation in Syria, in particular in Aleppo, was in focus of a meeting between Russian president’s envoy for the Middle East and African countries and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and visiting Director-General for Political and Security Affairs at the French Foreign Ministry Nicolas de Riviere, the Russian foreign ministry said on Monday.
"The sides exchanged views on the current Middle East agenda with a focus on the development of the situation in Syria, including humanitarian aspects of the situation in Aleppo," the ministry said.
The French diplomat arrived in Moscow for inter-ministerial consultations.
