MOSCOW, December 14. /TASS/. Syria will not issue permission to operate in its market for any company from a country that pursues anti-Syrian policy and supports terrorists, President Bashar Assad said in a televised interview with the Rossiya 24 channel on Wednesday.
"The Syrian people will not let in any company from the countries pursuing anti-Syrian policy that were calling against our country’s territorial integrity or supporting terrorists. It’s absolutely evident," Assad said. "We won’t be able to distinguish between the private sector in such states and their official policies."
Syria’s head of state is convinced that after the end of war most Syrian business people will return home and will be involved in the country’s restoration.
"As far as Syria is concerned, we have very good material resources in the private sector belonging to those entrepreneurs who are in the country or left it long ago or during the crisis," he went on to say. "Most of them will come back to Syria as here they have homes and property. They will return to restore their country so there will be an economic turnover. In this regard, we do not have any fears, we need just time."
The states friendly to Syria or at least neutral will be given priority in the revival of its economy, namely Russia, Iran and China, he said.
Earlier, Syria’s Ambassador to Russia Riyad Haddad had said that the Syrian government had collected precise data on damage in all sectors of the economy and infrastructure. The diplomat was hopeful that the Syrians "will be capable of restoring their country and rebuilding its infrastructure."
