HAMBURG (Germany), December 8. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US State Secretary John Kerry have discussed Syria ay Wednesday's meeting in Hamburg in the framework of US proposals from December 2, a source in the Russian delegation told journalists on Thursday.
"The sides discussed the Syrian topic following the US proposal on Aleppo from December 2," the source said.
On December 2 in Rome, Kerry put forward a proposal on withdrawing militants from Aleppo. Lavrov noted then that the US initiative is in line with the Russian approach. However, on December 5 US withdrew their proposal. Their new initiative will allow militants in East Aleppo to rest, according to Lavrov.
