China and Russia consider each other as priority partners, the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman says

BEIJING, December 2. /TASS/. Beijing is ready to boost cooperation with Moscow in many fields, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Geng Shuang said.

When responding to a TASS correspondent’s request to comment on Russian President Vladimir Putin’s annual address to the Federal Assembly (Russian parliament), Geng Shuang said that "China has paid attention to the fact that President Vladimir Putin commended bilateral relations between Russia and China in his address to the Federal Assembly."

"The Chinese-Russian strategic partnership is now at its highest level ever," the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman noted.

According to him, as far as diplomacy goes, China and Russia consider each other as priority partners. "China is ready to boost comprehensive strategic partnership with Russia, enhance cooperation in various fields in order to ensure the two countries’ welfare, maintain global peace and stability," Geng Shuang said.
