Media: Kiev-controlled forces shell DPR territory

According to a DPR militia source, the Ukrainian army used infantry combat vehicles, grenade launchers and small arms

DONETSK, November 30. /TASS/. The Ukrainian armed forces fired 145 artillery shells and mortar bombs last night at the outskirts of Donetsk, Yasinovataya, Dokuchaevsk and southern villages in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), a source in the DPR law enforcement agencies told the Donetsk News Agency on Wednesday.

"From 6pm to 02.30am the Ukrainian military fired 145 122mm and 152mm artillery shells and 82mm and 120mm mortar bombs at the villages of Trudovskiye, Alexandrovka in the west of Donetsk, the outskirts of Dokuchaevsk, an industrial area near Yasinovataya, the villages of Spartak and Sakhanka in the south of the country," the source said, adding that the Mayorsk checkpoint in northern Gorlovka came under fire as well.

In addition to heavy weapons and mortars, the Ukrainian army used infantry combat vehicles, grenade launchers and small arms.

Members of the Contact Group on the settlement in eastern Ukraine agreed at an August 26 meeting in Minsk on an indefinite ceasefire on the line of contact in Donbass as of September 1, the ninth one since the autumn 2014 agreement. However, the security situation in the Donbass region has not improved dramatically.
