HMEYMIM (Syria), November 28. /TASS/. More than 3,000 civilians, including 1,519 children, have left the eastern part of Aleppo over the past 24 hours, the Russian reconciliation center in Syria reported Monday.
"The Russian Reconciliation Center continues to deliver humanitarian aid to Aleppo’s neighborhoods liberated from terrorists. Over the past 24 hours, a total of 3,179 civilians, including 1,519 children and 138 babies, have fled the eastern part of the city," the center reported.
The center also said that ten Aleppo blocks had been freed from Jabhat al-Nusra militants. More than 100 militants have ceased resistance and left the eastern parts of Aleppo.
"Ten quarters and more than 3,000 buildings have been liberated from Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists," the center said. "In the past hour militants were knocked out of Al Qadisiya district in eastern Aleppo."
All the cilivilans who had left the city have been accommodated by the humanitarian centers deployed together with the Syrian authorities. They are provided with medical care, hot meals, essentials and clothing.
The Russian Reconciliation Center also deployed more than 150 field kitchens to the area.
Humanitarian aid was earlier delivered to the al-Ashrafia and Hananu al-Amaliya neighborhoods (about one and three tonnes of cargo respectively) and the Hadida populated locality in Homs province (nearly one ton), the Center added.
