NEW DELHI, November 27. /TASS/. A group of Russian tourists was attacked by wasps in Sri Lanka, manager of the NKAR Travels & Tours Company Alevtina Yurkovskaya told TASS on Sunday.
"It was a group of 14 Russian tourists," she said on the telephone from Colombo. "The incident happened yesterday, eight Russians were attacked, four of them were taken to hospital, where they received necessary assistance."
"Among the attacked were also tourists from China," she added.
The attack was in central Dambulla near a Buddhist temple.
The Russian embassy in Colombo told TASS they were checking the details to be able to offer necessary support.
