Syrian troops begin mopping-up operation on western outskirts of Aleppo — TV

According to police, on November 10 seven were wounded in the Al-Hamdaniya and Djeida districts

BEIRUT, November 10. /TASS/. Syrian troops have regained control of no less than ten buildings in the Dahiyat al-Assad district on the outskirts of Aleppo (360 kilometers from Damascus). According to the Lebanon-based Al-Mayadeen network, the military has been conducting a mopping-up operation in the quarters previously seized by the militants. The network says the government forces have been rapidly advancing towards the neighboring Rashideen-4 district that remains the last militant stronghold in the western part of the city.

Earlier in the week, the Syrian army and allied forces retook the Housing Project 1070 and seized the Al-Hikmah school building where the militant command center had been situated.

Meanwhile, militants continue to shell the civilian dwelling areas in western Aleppo with mortars while the area is under army control. According to police, on Thursday seven persons were wounded in the Al-Hamdaniya and Djeida districts. A total of 149 civilians in Aleppo were killed by the militant shelling in the past ten days.
