CHISINAU, November 2. /TASS/. Presidential candidate in the breakaway republic of Transnistria Vadim Krasnoselsky has been detained at an airport in Chisinau, the Transnistrian parliament told TASS on Wednesday.
According to a representative of the parliament, Krasnoselsky was returning from Moscow. He was detained, searched and examined. After that, he was released and allowed to go home to Tiraspol.
Krasnoselsky gave up his powers as the parliament speaker for the duration of the presidential election campaign.
"This is a provocation. They brought people with guns, with dogs," the presidential candidate told Transnistrian journalists who were waiting for him at the airport. Krasnoselsky said he went to Moscow to meet with students of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration and tell them about the situation in Transnistria.
