43 ceasefire violations reported in Syria in past day — Russian reconciliation center

No air strikes were delivered by the Russian air group and the Syrian air force at armed opposition group which have declared cessation of hostilities

MOSCOW, October 20. /TASS/. A total of 43 ceasefire violations by illegal armed groups were reported during the day in Syria, the Russian center for reconciliation of the warring parties in Syria said in its regular daily bulletin posted on the Russian defense ministry’s official website on Thursday.

"Armed groups which have declared their joining the regime of cessation of hostilities conducted fire from home-made multiple missile launcher systems, mortars and firearms, shelling in Damascus province the settlements of Douma, Bleliye, Jobar, Bala-al-Qadima and Kafer-Batna, a farm in the settlement of Harasta, positions of government troops in the area of Qusayr farm and height 612," the bulletin said, adding that Hai-al-Antari neighborhood in Aleppo was also shelled.

Terrorist groups conducted fire from home-made multiple missile launches, mortars, cannon artillery and firearms at seven neighborhoods of Aleppo, a cement plant, military academy al-Assad, Castello shopping center and positions of government troops in the area of neighborhoods 1070, Ramusi, Leramon, Hai al-Ansari, a cement plant as well as the settlement of Benjamin, it said.

Drones with an explosive device were used in the settlement of Ain-El-Qantara and Tubal fortress in Latakia province, nobody was injured, the bulletin added.

In Damascus province terrorists shelled the settlement of Hawsh Nasri, Jobar and Douma, a medical school in Harasta, and positions of government troops in Jobar. In Hama province they shelled the settlement of Mardes, a thermal power station in the settlement of Maharda and government positions in the area of Skandariya.

"No air strikes were delivered by the Russian air group and the Syrian air force at armed opposition group which have declared cessation of hostilities and informed the Russian or U.S. reconciliation centers about their locations," as follows from the bulletin.
