DONETSK, October 20. /TASS/. The intelligence service of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) has registered up to 80 mercenaries from Italy and France at the Kramatorsk airfield controlled by the Ukrainian military, the DPR Operations Command Spokesman Eduard Basurin said on Thursday.
"There are up to 80 foreign mercenaries from Italy and France at the Kramatorsk city airfield," The Donetsk news agency quoted him as saying.
Basurin added that their groups had been heading off to the line of contact every night.
The DPR intelligence service regularly monitors Kiev’s deployment of foreign fighters to the line of contact. On September 28, reports indicated that groups with up to 100 Polish mercenaries had arrived in the Mariupol area. Earlier Georgian and Polish guerillas had been repeatedly seen in the combat zone taking part in Ukraine’s offensives and sniper attacks.
