MOSCOW, October 15. /TASS/. A total of 51 ceasefire violations by illegal armed groups were reported in the past 24 hours in Syria, including 25 violations in the region of Aleppo, 16 — in the Damascus region, five — in the Latakia region, four — in the Hama region, and one — in Quneitra, the Russian Center for reconciliation of the warring parties said in its daily news bulletin posted on the Russian Defense Ministry’s official website on Saturday.
"Armed groups, which have announced joining the regime of cessation of hostilities, delivered fire from multiple missile launcher systems, mortars and firearms at the settlement of Azizi in the province of Aleppo, government forces’ positions near the populated locality of al-Salhin and Aleppo’s districts of al-Masharqa and Hai al-Antari; at the settlement of Harasta and height 612 and positions of government troops near Mazar Abu in the province of Damascus; at the villages of Nahshebba, al-Hamrat and Salma in the province of Latakia," the document says.
Unmanned aerial vehicles with explosive devices were used in the settlements of Rashah and Tubal in the province of Latakia.
In the province of Aleppo, paramilitary terrorist groups shelled from home-made multiple missile launcher systems, mortars and firearms the populated localities of Hananu-Shimaliya, Bakirtaya, Shurfa Hasajek, and the districts of Karm al-Jabal, Ramusi (twice), 1070 (three times), Suleiman al-Halabi (twice), Karm al-Jabal, Sheikh Maqsood and Hai al-Ansari, the positions of government troops near the Al-Assad military academy, a cement plant, the Castello shopping mall, and Karyat Halab Fortress in the city of Aleppo.
"In the province of Damascus, terrorists shelled the populated localities of Harasta, Tel al-Kurdi, Hawsh-Nasri, Qaboun, Jobar (twice), Dahiyat al-Assad, Bala al-Qadima and Arbil, the Ibn al-Walid hospital in the settlement of al-Rihan (twice), along with the Samadi crossroads and the al-Abbasiyn stadium in the city of Damascus," the center said.
In the Hama region terrorists shelled the populated localities of Krah, Ma’an (twice) and Skandarya. In the Quneitra region, the town of Jaba came under shelling.
The Russian Defense Ministry declared the establishment of the reconciliation center on February 23. It is headquartered at the Hmeymim air base, Latakia province. The center was set up in line with agreements reached by Russia and the United States to facilitate the negotiations between the Syrian government and opposition and to organize humanitarian deliveries.
