Blast occurs near OSCE office in western Ukraine

According to the first reports, the blast involved an RGD-5 grenade

KIEV, October 14. /TASS/. A blast came on Friday in the Western Ukrainian city of Ivano-Frankovsk near the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) office, the press service of the local police said in a statement.

"A criminal investigation into the explosion has been launched according to Article 296 (planned hooliganism aimed at causing injuries and damage) and Article 263 (unlawful handling of arms, ammunition and explosives) of the Ukrainian Criminal Code," the statement says.

According to the first reports, the blast involved an RGD-5 grenade. The police are looking into the incident in order to establish who is involved in this crime and find out the suspect’s motivation.
