BERLIN, October 14. /TASS/. German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko have discussed the situation in Donbass and the issue of holding a meeting in the Normandy format (Russia, Ukraine, Germany and France), German government spokesman Steffen Seibert said late on Thursday.
Both leaders "shared opinion that everything needs to be done to stabilize the ceasefire and take new steps in implementing the peace agreements," the spokesman said.
Speaking about the possibility of holding a meeting of leaders of the Normandy Four group, Merkel and Poroshenko said further consultations should take place before this meeting, he said.
