DPR head says Kiev breaches Minsk accords by using combat helicopter

The DPR leader says the situation along the engagement line in the Donbass region is aggravating

DONETSK, October 13. /TASS/. Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Alexander Zakharchenko accused Ukraine on Thursday of breaching the Minsk peace accords by using aircraft in the conflict area.

According to Zakharchenko, the pro-Kiev forces attacked the positions of the DPR militia by using a combat helicopter.

"Recently, an attempt was made to attack us from a helicopter. It ended in a failure. The helicopter sustained damage and landed on the territory controlled by Ukraine," Zakharchenko was quoted by the Donetsk News Agency as saying.

No talk about forces’ disengagement at new sections

According to Zakharchenko, the situation along the engagement line in the Donbass region, including in Debaltsevo, was aggravating.

"In actual fact, the situation has exacerbated not only in the area of Novoazovsk. The situation has also aggravated in the area of Debaltsevo. The tense situation persists in the area of Peski and the area near Dokuchayevsk. There is no talk so far about disengaging troops and military hardware at other sections," he was quoted by the Donetsk News Agency as saying.
