Ceasefire regime in Syria violated 71 times over last 24 hours

The Russian Aerospace Defense Forces and Syrian Air Force did not deliver airstrikes at opposition armed groups that joined the ceasefire regime

MOSCOW, October 2. /TASS/. The ceasefire regime in Syria has been violated by illegal armed groups 71 times over the last 24 hours, including 45 times in the Aleppo province, 18 times in Damascus, five times in Latakia and three times in Hama, the Russian Center for reconciliation of the warring parties in Syria said in an informational bulletin published on the Russian Defense Ministry’s website on Sunday.

"The armed groups that joined the ceasefire regime shelled from self-made multiple rocket launcher systems, anti-tank guided missiles, mortars and small arms the settlements of Jaubar, Arbil, Duma, farms in the settlement of Haush al-Farah and positions of the government forces near height 612 in the Damascus province; settlements of Ayn al-Qantara, Qinsibba and positions of the government forces near the Abu-Ali mountain (twice) and height 425 in the Latakia province; settlement of Azizi and Al-Masharqa district in the Aleppo province," the bulletin said.

"In the Aleppo province, terrorists shelled the settlements of Museym-Khandrat (twice), Ansar (four times), Al-Hader, Shurfa, districts of al-Marshaqa, Ramusi (twice), Dahiya al-Asad (twice), Leramon (twice), Al-Zagra, Al-Khalidiya, Dar-Menyan, Al-Mahamed, checkpoint No 1 and No 2 on the Castello road, Castello mall (three times), positions of government forces near the Hay al-Ansari district (four times) and ‘1070’ (four times), cement and gas plants (twice), Al-Asad military academy (twice), Karyat Halab fortress (three times), southern farms of the Sheikh Al-Kobtani settlement and bazaar of the Hay Al-Antari district in Aleppo," the bulletin added.

"In the Damascus province, among settlements that came under fire were Haush Nasri (twice), Haush Al-Farah, Jaubar, positions of government forces and medical school in the settlement of Harasta (twice), Ibn Sina hospital (three times) and electric power station in the settlement of Jaubar. In the Hama province, settlements of Maan (twice) and Mubattan were shelled," the bulletin noted.

The Russian Aerospace Defense Forces and Syrian Air Force did not deliver airstrikes at opposition armed groups that joined the ceasefire regime and informed the Russian or US reconciliation centers about their locations.
