Nazarbayev, Erdogan discuss bilateral relations over phone

The sides discussed a number of regional and international issues

ASTANA, September 13. /TASS/. Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev on Tuesday had a telephone conversation with Turkey’s leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan to discuss bilateral relations, according to the official website of the Kazakh president.

"The sides discussed the current state and prospects for further development of bilateral relations, as well as a number of regional and international issues," the press release said.

According to Nazarbayev’s press service, the two leaders exchange greetings on the occasion of the Moslem Festival of Sacrifice, or Eid Al-Adha in Arabic or Kurban Bayram in Turkic languages.

The telephone conversation was initiated by the Turkish side.
