DPR reports 12 killed, 46 wounded in shelling by Ukrainian troops over past month

Earlier on August 2, the DPR operations command said that two civilians were wounded as Ukrainian troops shelled Donetsk.

DOENTSK, August 2. /TASS/. One civilian and eleven servicemen of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) were killed, 25 civilians and 21 servicemen were wounded in shelling by the Ukrainian side in the past month, Eduard Basurin, a spokesman for the DPR operations command, said on Tuesday.

"We don’t conceal our casualties. In July, eleven DPR servicemen were killed and 21 more were wounded. Casualties among civilians are: one killed and 25 wounded," the Donetsk News Agency quoted him as saying.

Earlier on Tuesday, the DPR operations command said that two civilians were wounded as Ukrainian troops shelled Donetsk. Overnight to August 1, Ukrainian troops conducted intense artillery shelling at Donetsk’s and Yasinovatay’s suburbs, killing one civilian and wounded one more.
