YEREVAN, July 30. /TASS/. A sniper from the armed group that seized a police station in the Armenian capital of Yerevan has shot dead a police officer, the spokesman for Armenian police said on Saturday.

"A marksman has just opened fire from the police regiment premises," Colonel Ashot Agaronyan said. "The special forces police officer, Yury Tepanosyan, 30, was shot dead in a car at a distance of 350-400 meters from the seized police regiment territory.".
