BERLIN, July 22. /TASS/. An unknown man opened gunfire on Friday night at the Olympia Shopping Center in Munich, German police and news media said.
At the time of reporting, the picture of the incident was still rather vague, with various sources saying that the number of those killed might vary from one to 'multiple',
Munich police sources told TASS the man had opened indiscriminate fire around himself.
"We don't understand so far fully what's happened," a police official told TASS.
Police troops sealed off the place and eyewitnesses spoke of many ambulance cars arriving at the site.
Suddeutsche Zeitung newspaper said one person had been killed and ten others injured but the DPA news agency indicated that police expected 'multiple dead'.
