KIEV, July 22. /TASS/. Memorial services dedicated to slain journalist Pavel Sheremet have ended in Kiev.
Among the mourners standing in line for three hours were relatives, close friends and colleagues who came to pay their last respects to the famed reporter.
At the close of the farewell ceremony, Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko came to pay last respects. He laid flowers at the ceremony and expressed his condolences to the Sheremet family.
On Friday evening, the journalist’s body will be transported to his native town, Minsk.
Sheremet was killed Wednesday morning in a car blast in Kiev as he was driving a colleague’s automobile. Police classified his death as premeditated murder.
