Such measures will allow to ensure security of civilians that use checkpoints, as well as control when a checkpoint opens and closes

DONETSK, July 21. /TASS/. Russian representatives at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) have proposed establishing cameras at checkpoints along the contact line in Donbass, the defense ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) said on Thursday.

The proposal was submitted for consideration to the Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). SMM told Donetsk News Agency that they plan to set up more cameras in east Ukraine but did not clarify where. SMM added that the mission currently has three cameras in Avdeyevka and near Shirokino.
