France’s authorities also confirmed the death of the wife of a Russian national.
"The French side has confirmed the death of the wife of a Russian national. So far, we don’t know whether she was a Russian citizen. All we know is that her husband had a Russian passport. As for her, she had the Estonian passport. Her son has not yet confirmed her possible Russian citizenship," the diplomat said.
On Thursday night, a truck plowed at full tilt into the crowd on the Promenade des Anglais when thousands of people were about to go away after the festive fireworks on the occasions of Bastille Day.
