ASTANA, July 18. /TASS/. The antiterrorist operation in Almaty has been completed and the highest "red" terror alert has been downgraded to the moderate "yellow" level, the press service of the National Security Committee (NSC) reported on Monday.
"The Antiterrorism Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan informs that the antiterrorist operation in the city of Almaty has been completed. In this connection, by the decision of the NSC chairman the critical ("red’) terror alert in the city of Almaty has been changed to the moderate ("yellow") alert level," the statement says.
Unidentified persons attacked early on Monday the building of a district police department in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and a department of Kazakhstan’s National Security Committee.
