Magnitude-4.8 earthquake hits in Georgia

The earthquake epicenter was located 55 km from the country's capital

TBILISI, July 12. /TASS/. A 4.8 magnitude earthquake hit eastern Georgia on Tuesday afternoon.

The earthquake epicenter was located 55 km from Tbilisi, the national seismological center said.

"The epicenter is located in an unpolluted area. Tremors were felt in Georgia’s southern and eastern parts, including the capital, Tbilisi," the center said.

Local officials said no damage or victims were reported.
