EP’s committee urges lifting of visas restrictions for Ukraine, Georgia, Kosovo

Now EP’s Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs will also have a say on this matter

PARIS, July 7. /TASS/. The European Parliament (EP) has urged the lifting of visas restrictions for Ukraine, Georgia and Kosovo, EP’s press service said on Thursday.

MEP Jacek Saryusz-Wolski said that "Ukraine has unquestionably and successfully met all benchmarks required to be granted visa-free regime as soon as possible and without any further delay."

EP’s Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs will also have a say on this matter. The committee’s recommendations will be followed by EP’s vote on cancelling visas for Ukraine, Georgia and Kosovo. In December 2015 the European Commission said that Ukraine had already fulfilled all requirements for liberalization of the visa regime with EU.
