Militia source claims over 100 mortar shells were fired at Donetsk republic

The Ukrainian military reportedly fired a total of 105 82mm and 120mm mortar shells also using grenade launchers and infantry combat vehicles

DONETSK, July 7. /TASS/. The Ukrainian army fired 105 mortar bombs on Wednesday and overnight to Thursday at the northern and western outskirts of Donetsk, Gorlovka suburbs, Yasinovaya and villages in the south of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), a source in the DPR law enforcement agencies has said.

"From 6pm to 2.20am the Ukrainian side was shelling the Volvo Center area, Spartak, Trudovskiye village in the west of the capital city, Shirokaya Balka and Zaitsevo near Gorlovka, Vasilyevka and the outskirts of Yasinovataya, Novolaspa and Belaya Kamenka in Telmanovsky district and also Kominternovo and Sakhanka in Novoazovsky district in the south of the DPR," the source told Donetsk News Agency.

According to the source, the Ukrainian military fired a total of 105 82mm and 120mm mortar shells also using grenade launchers and infantry combat vehicles.

Head of the Petrovsky district administration Maxim Zhukovsky has reported  that a resident of his district of Donetsk had sustained injuries in the shelling

"A man was wounded in the fire attack. The injuries are minor, he refused to be taken to hospital," Donetsk News Agency quotes him as saying.
