KIEV, July 5. /TASS/. A petition for an earliest possible full-scale termination of powers of deputies of the Verkhovna Rada, the national parliament has been registered on the presidential website.
"These People’s Deputies are incompetent populists, the people who have no idea about the lawmaking processes or work for the benefit of their state," the text of the petition says. "Their activity if a corrupt fiction and each of these representatives chosen by the people is only plundering the country."
By this moment, it has gained 7 signatures out of the 25,000 needed for examination of the requests by the President. The signup is now be completed in 92 days.
An opportunity to file an electronic petition appeared in August 2015. The novelty immediately gained popularity among the people.
Legislative initiatives shaped up as petitions have more than once rallied 25,000 signatures.
The most graphic episodes of this were a petition in support of Mikhail Saakashvili as a candidate for the office of Ukraine’s Prime Minister and a proposal to place Yuliya Timoshenko as an ambassador to Honduras.
