DONETSK, July 4. /TASS/. The Ukrainian security forces fires 219 mortar shells overnight on the outskirts of Gorlovka, Donetsk, Dokuchayevsk, Yasinovataya towns of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), the DPR security agencies told the Donetsk News Agency on Monday.
"In the period from 22:00 pm (Sunday) to 02:40 am Monday, the Ukrainian side launched shelling attacks on the Veseloye, Spartak, Mineralnoye settlements of the Yasinovataya district, on the Trudovskiye and Staromikhailovka settlements in the west of Donetsk, on Dokuchayevsk, Gorlovka and on Zaitsevo village, on the Gagarin mine and the settlements of Leninskoye, Oktyabr, Sakhanka and Kominternovo in the Novoazovsk district. As many as 219 mortar shells of 82 mm and 120 mm caliber were fired on these territories," the report says.
According to a DPR security official, the Ukrainian security forces used, along with mortars, anti-tank guided missiles, infantry fighting vehicle weapons, grenade launchers and small arms.
