BEIRUT, July 1. /TASS/. Syria closely coordinates military operations against the terrorists of the Islamic State and Jabhat al-Nusra (both outlawed in Russia) with Russia and Iran, Syria’s President Bashar Assad told the Australian television broadcaster SBS in an interview.
He said the recent meeting of the three countries’ defense ministers was evidence of that.
Assad is certain that the military support Russia and Iran provide pursues the aim of restoring stability in Syria.
"It’s about the whole situation. The chaos in Syria is going to provoke the domino effect in our region. It’s going to affect the neighboring countries, it’s going to affect Iran it’s going to affect Russia, it’s going to affect Europe," Assad warned.
