Source reports shelling of Kominternovo in Donbass

MOSCOW, June 27. /TASS/. The village of Kominternovo in the south of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) came under shelling from Ukrainian troops on Monday, a source in the republic’s law enforcement agencies said.

"At 18:20 local time, the Ukrainian side began shelling of the village of Kominternovo from artillery systems of 122mm caliber," the Donetsk News Agency quoted him as saying. According to the source, fire was conducted from the Kiev-controlled village of Vodyanoye. A total of 39 mines were fired.

Earlier, the DPR operational command said that a total of 379 episodes of shelling of DPR territories by Ukrainian troops were reported in the past day. Shelling was conducted at the settlements of Zaitsevo and Shirokaya Balka, the cities of Gorlovka, Dokuchayevsk, Yasinovataya, the villages of Sakhanka and Kominternovo in DPR’s southern areas, and Donetsk’s western suburbs and its former airport.
