MOSCOW, June 27. /TASS/. The European Union, while extending sanctions against Russia, "leaves a small window open" for developing relations with Moscow, Russian Ambassador to the EU Vladimir Chizhov told the Rossiya 24 TV channel on Monday.
"The sanctions will be extended (at the EU summit on June 28-29). "While formally extending the sanctions by six months, the EU leaves a small window open to monitor the situation during this period," he said. "Further debate on the fate of the EU’s foreign policy, including in relation to Russia, is planned in October on the initiative of EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini.".
